What is absorbed through your skin matters. We believe that our toiletries and cosmetics should be as organic and natural as possible. We use organic ingredients so we don’t need synthetic fragrances, parabens, or artificial colours.

Ingredient Purpose and Source
Aloe Vera Juice Obtained from aloe vera leaves. When reconstituted with water it forms the main ingredient in our Conditioning Shampoo, providing conditioning and a soothing effect.
Apple Extract Extracted from organic apples, this acts as a skin conditioner and protector.
Apricot Oil An emollient and skin conditioner pressed from organic apricot kernels.
Barley Extract An extract from organic barley that acts as both an emollient and a skin conditioner.
Basil Oil An aromatic skin tonic obtained from basil leaves that can also help mask body odours.
Beeswax This wax helps smooth and thicken the Hand & Body Lotion and is obtained from bee honeycomb.
Benzyl Alcohol A preservative permitted in organic cosmetics. It is produced naturally by many plants and is commonly found in fruits and teas.
Betaine Made from sugar beet and similar plants, this helps controls the feel of wet wipe liquids.
Bilberry Extract Extracted from bilberries (not blueberries), it is both refreshing and astringent.
Bitter Orange Oil This oil helps give our toiletries their distinctive fragrance and is obtained from the leaves of the bitter orange tree.
Cardamom Oil A skin tonic extracted from organic cardamom seeds.
Cedarwood Oil An aromatic skin tonic obtained from the bark of the Cedar tree. We use only certified sustainable sources.
Citric Acid A natural preservative that also helps control the acidity of the product, so that it is appropriate for skin contact. It is also an anti-oxidant used as a food additive.
Clove Oil Obtained from dried cloves, this is a skin tonic with a distinct warming effect. It is also well known as an anodyne.
Cocoa Butter This butter is obtained from roasted organic cocoa seeds. It has a good emollient effect.
Coco-Glucoside A cleanser made from coconut oil and fruit sugar. It mildly cleanses the skin by helping water mix with oil and dirt so that they can be rinsed off.
Cotton The wet wipe fabric is made from 100% organic cotton with no chemical binders.
Dehydroacetic Acid A preservative permitted in organic cosmetics. It is also used in the food industry.
Denatured Alcohol Made from organic grain, this ingredient helps mix the components of some of our products.
Elderflower Extract Extracted from elderflowers, this refreshing skin tonic is also a skin conditioner.
Evening Primrose Oil Pressed from the seeds of the evening primrose. This is an emollient high in GLAs (Gamma-Linoleic Acids) and is beneficial for dry skin.
Frankincense Frankincense is tapped from the straggly but hardy Boswellia tree. It is a soothing skin tonic that can help revitalise ageing and maturing skin.
Ginger Oil Obtained from dried ginger, this acts as a skin tonic. It has a warming effect and is traditionally used as an anodyne to help avoid stressed skin.
Glycerine Glycerine helps improve the smoothness of lotions. It is a well-known humectant that provide a good moisturising effect.
Glyceryl Stearate This ingredient helps give the Hand & Body Lotion its rich feel. It also acts as an emollient.
Green Tea Extract Extracted from the leaves of the tea plant, it is often used in traditional Chinese medicine.
Honey Extract A soothing and moisturising extract obtained from organic honey.
Juniper Oil This oil helps give the our toiletries their distinctive fragrance and is obtained from juniper berries. It also acts as a skin tonic.
Juniper Extract This extract is obtained from juniper berries and helps give the Conditioning Shampoo its distinctive fragrance. It also functions as a tonic and can help mask body odours.
Lavender Oil This oil helps give our toiletries their distinctive fragrance and is obtained from organic lavender flowers. It is good for stressed skin and acts as a relaxant in massage therapy.
Lemon Eucalyptus Oil A skin tonic with a calming soothing effect, that can also help mask body odours.
Linseed Oil This conditioning and emollient oil is pressed from flax seeds. It also helps give a rich feel to the Hand & Body Lotion.
Maltodextrin A sugar-like material made from organic starch and often used as a food additive. It is skin conditioning and helps improve the feel of the product.
May Chang Oil A skin tonic obtained from the berries of the litsea bush, a form of laurel.
Neroli Oil A skin tonic obtained from the bitter orange tree. Often considered to be soothing and helpful in relieving tension.
Olive Oil This well-known skin conditioner and moisturiser is pressed from organic olives.
Orange Oil An astringent skin tonic obtained from sweet orange peel.
Palmarosa Oil A skin tonic obtained from palmarosa, a form of lemon grass. Often considered helpful for stiff muscles and dry skin.
Palm Kernel Acid Helps control the alkaline nature of soaps so that they are appropriate for skin contact. Not organic, but derived from natural palm kernel oil.
Patchouli Oil Obtained from the leaves of the patchouli, a herb of the mint family, it is an aromatic oil recommended for mature skin.
Potassium Cocoate A liquid soap made from organic fats and coconut oil.
Potassium Oleate A liquid soap made from organic fats and olive oil.
Potassium Palm Kernelate Helps control the thickness and smoothness of the lotions. Not organic, but derived from natural palm kernel oil.
Raspberry Seed Oil Pressed from the seeds of the red raspberry. This is a skin conditioner with a moisturising effect.
Roman Chamomile Distilled from chamomile flower heads, this is a skin conditioner and tonic considered to be calming and soothing in massage therapy.
Rosehip Fruit Oil An emollient skin conditioner obtained from the hips of the dog rose.
Rose Geranium Oil A skin tonic obtained from rose geranium flowers.
Rosemary Oil Obtained from the flowering tops of rosemary. It is a refreshing skin tonic with a cleansing effect.
Sandalwood Oil Obtained from the heartwood of the sandalwood tree - using only certified sustainable sources. Considered helpful for dry, cracked and dehydrated skin.
Sea Salt Natural sea salt. This cannot be organic because it is a mineral.
Shea Butter This butter is obtained from the fruit of the karite tree, It is well-known as a rich moisturiser that softens and soothes the skin.
Sodium Citrate This helps control the alkaline nature of soaps so that they are appropriate for skin contact. It is also an anti-oxidant often used as a food additive. Not organic.
Sodium Cocoate A hard vegetable soap made from organic coconut oil.
Sodium Hydroxide This helps control the acidity of the product so that it is appropriate for skin contact. Not organic
Sodium Palmate A hard vegetable soap made from organic palm oil.
Spearmint Oil Obtained from the tops and leaves of spearmint plants, this has a well-known refreshing effect.
Sucrose Stearate This helps give the Hand & Body Lotion its rich feel, but is also a skin conditioner. Not organic but derived from natural sugars.
Sunflower Oil An easily-absorbed base for massage oils. Both an emollient and a skin conditioner, it is pressed from organic sunflower seeds and deodorised.
Sweet Marjoram Oil Distilled from the leaves of the sweet marjoram, this oil has a refreshing effect.
Tocopherol A vitamin-E type material that acts as an antioxidant and skin conditioner.
Wild Chamomile Flower Extract This is obtained from wild chamomile flower heads and is well-known as an emollient.
Xanthan Gum This helps prevent the Conditioning Shampoo from breaking down and gives it a smooth feel. Not organic but derived from natural materials.
Ylang-Ylang Oil An emollient obtained from ylang-ylang flowers and considered to be calming and soothing in massage therapy.
